Who’s Who in Corporate America™
Marquis Who’s Who Releases A Brand New Benchmark for Corporate Accomplishment

Marquis Who’s Who, LLC, BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NEW JERSEY — April 6, 2011 — Marquis Who’s Who, LLC, publisher of the preeminent Who’s Who series including Who’s Who in America® and Who’s Who in the World®, has just announced the coming release of its newest title, Who’s Who in Corporate America™. With over 1,300 pages holding more than 30,000 biographies, this resource immediately takes a place at the forefront of references covering corporate America—and stands out as the new benchmark for corporate accomplishment.

Another aspect that distinguishes Who’s Who in Corporate America™ is the editorial vetting. According to Editor-in-Chief, Fred Marks, “This is not LinkedIn or Facebook, although the people at LinkedIn and Facebook are in our book. This is a product of extensive research, review and debate. Who’s Who in Corporate America™ opens a window into American corporations, but it’s not an ‘open book’ so to speak.” As Marks says, “You can’t just get into Who’s Who in Corporate America™. There is a selection process that makes the final product very valuable, reliable and useful.”

For more than 110 years, Marquis Who’s Who® has been the gold standard for biographical information, trusted by librarians and relied on by professionals in all walks of life. Who’s Who in Corporate America™ is a natural outgrowth of the overall Who’s Who endeavor. “Focusing on this crucial segment of America is a natural step for us,” says Goffred. “We expect it to be one of our most popular publications, and that’s saying something given the track record of Marquis Who’s Who® directories.”

With all the changes that go on in corporate institutions, such a book would have been much more difficult in the past. Having the ability to create an online component solved that problem for Marquis Who’s Who®. Not only can changes now be made instantaneously on the Web, but Marquis Who’s Who® will have an up-to-date database to draw from when it’s time to release the next edition.

From research, to job-hunting, to networking, and more, Who’s Who in Corporate in America™ will be useful to readers in many ways. And, interestingly, there are a lot of fun little nuggets to be discovered. For example: Bill Gates’ first company was called Traf-O-Data. Jeff Immelt spent his whole career at GE. And “Hammerin” Hank Aaron owns a restaurant partnership. Who knew?

Who’s Who in Corporate America™ will also soon be available in an online format as part of Marquis Biographies Online, its newly enhanced, searchable subscription database featuring over 1.4 million noteworthy people from the 1600s to the present.
